Meet our invited readers for July!
Alicia Boemi is a poet, children's book author, entrepreneur, and speaker based in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Alicia writes poetry under the pen name Antonia Wilde. Her debut poetry chapbook, THE LAKE REMAINS (Kelsay Books) released in June. She is the owner of the independent bookstore, Lakeside Books, in downtown Lake Geneva. Alicia is also an MFA candidate in creative writing at UTEP.
Leia K. Bradley (they/she) rides her broomstick between NYC and NC, dreaming often of bioluminescence and bats. A Southern lesbian writer, performance artist, and MFA Poetry graduate of Columbia University, they have taught Writing in Gender & Sexuality, Contemporary Essays, and—an ardent lover of the gothic and profane—have also taught Monster Studies and Poetics of Embodiment. She currently teaches Saturday Writing School at Pratt, as well as hybrid-genre writing classes through her online school Lycanthrope Academy. Her poem "Settle(d)" was chosen as the Editor's Choice Best Overall pick for Penumbra Magazine's 2022 Pride issue. They were nominated by Miniskirt Magazine for a Pushcart Prize for their lesbian werewolf short story "Moon Pie.” She is currently writing two novels at once and taking in stray swamp cats with her wife. Oh, and put your best Sunday dress on for their debut poetry collection, Venus In Transit, out with Red Hen Press in Spring 2027.
Linda M. Crate (she/her) is a Pennsylvanian writer whose poetry, short stories, articles, and reviews have been published in a myriad of magazines both online and in print. She has seventeen published chapbooks the latest being: only the future knows (Alien Buddha Press, November 2025).
Chera Hammons is a winner of poetry awards through PEN Texas and the Texas Institute of Letters. She holds an MFA from Goddard College. Her work, which is rooted in love for the natural world, appears in Baltimore Review, Lit Hub, People, Pleiades, Poetry, Rattle, The Southern Review, The Sun, The Texas Observer, and elsewhere. Her most recent book, Birds of America, is available through The Dial Press (an imprint of Penguin Random House). She lives on the windswept prairies of the Texas Panhandle.
