This is a sad collection and that’s what I like about it. Not everything in life has a neatly wrapped up ending. Tinamarie shares the realities of some of the tough stuff, swathed in a cocoon of complex reality. We see the use of the metaphor of interaction with water both literary and figurative throughout the poetry the collection.
