  1. The last week of September is Lit Mag Week! Be on the lookout for magazines hosting free and special submissions during that time. This is largely a social media initiative. https://litmagweek.com/ Poetry (in Brief) will hold a short open window on 9/28 (via a Google Form). The magazine is open all month to PiB Alum and friends of the press. Info is in the mag tab on TurneyTalks.com

  3. I always submit to the Rattle Ekphrastic Challenge which runs monthly. Though I have never been chosen for publication, it’s still a fun writing activity. https://rattle.submittable.com/submit
